Human purpose.
Connected technology.

Make room for your own life.

FocusField Our first product
This place has
a purpose.

We’re ClearZone. We’re building a network that connects the purpose of a place to how participating technology behaves.

Technology grows more capable.
Your attention is still finite.

The conditions of human freedom.

More powerful tools.
More say in
your own life.

A meaningful life
needs room to unfold.

Learning, creating and caring matter beyond the efficiency of the result. Losing agency over the conditions of everyday life puts those commitments at risk. We believe human purpose must govern the technology around us.

Why we exist
Give a place purpose.Let technology respect it.

A place has purpose.
Technology should
respect it.

Our long-term vision is a network for environment control. People establish the rules. Physical context determines when they apply. Authorised integrations carry them across supported systems.

Our starting point

Your space. Your intention.

A desk for sustained work. A bedroom for rest. FocusField makes the principle tangible through hardware and software for chosen boundaries on supported devices.

In development

Education first.

Education is our first institutional market. We’re developing software to make digital rules follow the lesson across supported, participating devices, while keeping useful learning tools available.

The institutional model

Repeated lessons, shared rooms and accountable leadership give us a setting to prove consistent policies, necessary exceptions and reliable transitions. Our initial model is recurring software per room, with hardware included. Organisational software and integrations remain in development.

Long-term ambition

Across connected environments.

Our ambition extends to homes, government offices, healthcare and workplaces: a shared purpose guiding what participating technology may interrupt, reveal, record or do.

The wider network we’re building

A confidential consultation and a night’s rest need different permissions. We intend to connect those decisions across phones, wearables, assistants and building systems through authorised integrations. These wider capabilities remain an ambition and depend on supported, participating technology.

Control as a condition of connection.

Platform in development
  1. Identify the space

  2. Deliver its policy

  3. Enforce on supported devices

  4. Manage and audit

Institutional deployment, administration and auditability remain work in progress.

An intention.
A place to uphold it.

Personal focus makes the principle tangible. Choose what to restrict. Enter your configured zone. Supported devices apply your choice automatically.

About this demonstration

Choose a rule in advance; the zone applies it on your supported, participating device. This schematic boundary does not show measured coverage. The phone is an illustration, not the app interface.

Control that
serves people.

At home, control belongs to the occupants. Shared rules must be visible and open to challenge, and must protect privacy and essential access.

Our principles for agency

Rules must serve a legitimate purpose through authorised software on supported, participating devices. People should know who sets them and how exceptions work. Personal focus tools are commitments: the device owner retains ultimate control.

Research & what we still need to prove

A 2025 mobile-internet-blocking trial found benefits, with substantial adherence limits. It tested a different intervention, not FocusField or our proposed network.

Education gives us a concrete setting to test consistent policies, necessary exceptions and reliable transitions. Lasting use, dependable integrations and value that merits renewal remain ours to prove.

An unhurried corner

A little room to grow.

Something small, just getting started.

A small thing. Just for you.

Human purpose. An enduring condition of progress.
