Privacy notice

What this website does with personal data, and what it does not do.

Who we are

ClearZone Digital Ltd is the data controller for this website. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 17184387, with a registered office at 66 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NA. For anything in this notice, write tocontact@clearzone.tech.

What this notice covers

This notice covers clearzone.tech, the site you are reading. Our storefront at shop.clearzone.tech is a separate service with its own privacy notice; if you buy or pre-order anything, that notice governs it.

What we collect

This is a static site. It has no accounts, no forms, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking scripts. Fonts are served from our own domain, so loading a page contacts nobody but us. There are three things worth knowing about.

Request logs

Our hosting provider, Vercel Inc., records standard technical information when you request a page: your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, and your browser’s user-agent string. This is ordinary server operation. We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the site available, secure and working correctly (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). We do not use these logs to build a profile of you or to identify individual visitors.

If you email us

If you write to contact@clearzone.tech we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it to reply, and to carry on the conversation if it leads somewhere. The basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or the steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.

A setting stored on your device

If you turn decorative motion off, we save that choice in your browser’s local storage under the name clearzone-motion. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and is not a cookie. You can clear it at any time through your browser’s site-data settings. We set nothing else: no cookies, no identifiers, no tracking pixels.

Who else sees it

Two providers handle personal data on our behalf. Vercel Inc. hosts this site and records the request logs described above. Hostinger operates the contact@clearzone.tech mailbox, so it processes whatever you send us by email.

Vercel Inc. is based in the United States, so request logs may be processed outside the United Kingdom under the safeguards set out in its data processing agreement.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We would disclose information if the law required us to.

How long we keep it

Request logs are kept for the period our hosting provider retains them for operational and security purposes, and no longer. Email correspondence is kept while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to our use of it, and ask for it in a portable form. Emailcontact@clearzone.tech and we will respond within one month.

If you think we have handled your data badly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office atico.org.uk.

Changes

If we change how this site handles personal data, we will update this page. Material changes will be noted here.
